Three sets per night: two bands with jazz-theatre in-between.
All three on the one ticket.
Tickets: $30/$20/$15 per night.  Festival pass: $90/$60/$45

At St Luke's Hall & Church, 11 Stanmore Rd, in Enmore

Thursday 20

+ 2@1 - Guy Strazzullo on guitar & Matt MacMahon on piano. 2-gether amazing.
+ Jazz-Theatre: To the music of the great Thelonious Sphere Monk, the Kinetic Energy Theatre Company present their surreal Ruby & Frankie, in Sweet & Lovely on stage, and Hackensack on the screen… Then their rendition of Buckley's jive-talk piece 'The Nazz'.
+ Jurassic Bark - Sydney premiere, this new septet is led by composer/trumpetplayer Lee McIver, with an outstanding line-up:
Tim Clarkson, Gai Bryant, Nick Bowd, Tim Rollinson, Dave Groves and Rob Cornish.

Friday 21

+ Kevin Hunt Trio & Brenda Gifford - connecting the Aboriginal ancient and the non-Aboriginal new.

+ Kinetic Jazz Orchestra - Our versatile & spirited 18-piece big band.

Since its inception in 2011, the orchestra has developed an extensive repertoire, with a large scope in feel and sound. Experimentation with rhythm, colour, structure and tonal qualities, whether venturing into the big & bold, or into the exquisite & lyrical, into the familiar or the exotic, it is all there with great nuance and joy.

Tonight the band will play an extended set of works by KJO composers: Don Reid, Tim Clarkson, Cam McCallister, Mike Kenny, Jason Morphett and Justin Buckingham. KJO’s special guest is pianist/composer Tomomi Takahashi.

+ Waldo Fabian Quintet - Virtuoso guitarist Waldo Fabian returns with his Latin based jazz quintet. New work, new directions.

Sunday 23

+ Bass Liberation - Dave Ellis brings together 16 double bass players. Get seriously immersed!

+ Marc Isaacs - Solo jazz piano: a master exploring the jazz piano tradition.
